The German U21 national team has commenced the EM year on a winning note. The team, representing the German Football Association, secured a 1:0 victory against Slovakia in Trnava during their second-to-last official test match before the finals.
Brajan Gruda of Brighton & Hove Albion scored the decisive goal for the German side in the 34th minute, providing a solid lead before halftime. However, the upcoming match on Tuesday in Darmstadt promises to be a tougher challenge, as they face Spain, a formidable opponent.
The EM finals are scheduled to take place from June 11 to 28 in Slovakia, where Germany will compete in the group stage against Slovenia, Czech Republic, and England. With this recent win, the DFB squad remains unbeaten for 14 consecutive matches, positioning them as strong contenders for the title.
