Ruth Hofmann Announces Pregnancy on ‚Doppelpass‘

Ruth Hofmann, the moderator of Sport1, has announced that she is expecting a baby. The 38-year-old made this revelation at the beginning of the football talk show ‚Doppelpass‘, following a surprise announcement from host Florian König. „I have also brought someone special with me, if you will,“ Hofmann stated. „He doesn’t need any extra space at your table. He is well accommodated here with me. I am pregnant and will be getting some support.“

This news was met with applause from the audience and guests in the studio. König remarked that a child who is already being socialized with ‚Doppelpass‘ while still in the womb is sure to have a passion for football.

Despite her pregnancy, Hofmann, who has been with Sport1 since 2016, has no plans for a baby break just yet. She stated that she will continue working until the end of the season, adding, „And the summer break is nicely planned for me.“
