Stützle’s assist not enough
German ice hockey player Tim Stützle and the Ottawa Senators have lost for the second time in three days to the Tampa Bay Lightning. In the NHL matchup, the Senators fell to the Lightning in Florida with a score of 1-5.
The Lightning secured their victory late in the game, scoring three of their goals starting from the 56th minute, with two of those goals coming in the final minute. Stützle contributed by assisting on the Senators‘ temporary equalizer at the start of the second period, marking his 38th assist of the season.
With 29 wins so far this season, Ottawa is positioned seventh in the Eastern Conference after 55 games, maintaining a trajectory towards the playoffs. This could mark the Senators‘ first playoff appearance in eight years.
