Lena Dürr has once again missed out on a podium finish in her specialty event, the Slalom, during the Alpine Ski World Cup held in Åre, Sweden. Competing with a handwritten replacement start number 7, the 33-year-old skier fell from her second-place position after the first run to finish in seventh place. She finished 0.79 seconds behind the winner, Katharina Truppe from Austria.
Katharina Liensberger secured the second spot, just 0.05 seconds behind, completing a double victory for Austria. U.S. star Mikaela Shiffrin, who led after the first run, came in third place, narrowly missing her 101st World Cup victory with a time deficit of 0.19 seconds.
Emma Aicher, who recently celebrated her first World Cup victory in the downhill event, was unable to advance to the second run due to a mistake during her run.
