US tennis star Coco Gauff delivered a stunning performance at the Masters tournament in Miami, where she faced fellow American Sofia Kenin. The third-seeded Gauff, just 21 years old, triumphed over the 2020 Australian Open champion with a resounding score of 6:0, 6:0, finishing the match in merely 47 minutes.
According to data provider Opta, Gauff is the youngest player since Madison Keys in 2013 to achieve a „double bagel“ in the main draw of the prestigious Miami Open.
In contrast, Davis Cup professional Daniel Altmaier faced an early exit in the first round. The 26-year-old lost to Hong Kong’s Coleman Wong with a score of 4:6, 3:6.
