Although the first half ended almost evenly (56-55), the first quarters were markedly different. In the early stages, the lead changed hands 15 times, whereas the second quarter showcased the well-known basketball phenomenon of scoring runs. Bayern initially pulled ahead by eleven points before the hosts responded with a run of ten unanswered points.

However, there is little time for celebration for the Munich team. They are set to face Serbian powerhouse Partizan Belgrade in their home city in just two days.
