FC Bayern Munich conducted their final training session ahead of the Champions League playoff return match against Celtic Glasgow without their star striker, Harry Kane. The session took place under sunny yet chilly winter weather conditions at the club’s training facility.
The absence of Kane was attributed to load management as the German football giants prepare for the crucial match. Kane had finished the Bundesliga top match against Bayer Leverkusen last Saturday with some discomfort, having suffered a jaw injury and a blow to his leg during the game. Despite his absence from training, Kane is expected to be available for the match on Tuesday at 21:00 (local time) in the Allianz Arena as Bayern aims for a spot in the Round of 16.
In the first leg in Scotland last week, Bayern emerged victorious with a 2-1 scoreline, thanks to goals from Kane and Michael Olise. Additionally, midfielder João Palhinha returned to training on Monday after recovering from an illness, and defender Alphonso Davies also rejoined the squad following a muscle fiber tear.
