The FC Bayern Munich continues to advance its personnel planning for the upcoming season. The club has announced the extension of the contract with national player Carolin Simon until June 30, 2026. The 32-year-old left-back joined Bayern from current Champions League quarter-finalist Olympique Lyon in the summer of 2019.
So far, Simon has made 131 appearances, scoring 18 goals and providing 38 assists for the Munich team, with whom she won the championship in 2021, 2023, and 2024. „I have been in Munich for several years, and I really feel at home here,“ said the 22-time national player.
“After her cruciate ligament injury, Caro has made an incredible comeback and is an important personality – both on and off the pitch,” explained Bayern director Bianca Rech, who previously extended the contracts of national players Klara Bühl (24) and Alara Sehitler (18) until 2027. Additionally, Barbara Dunst, Austria’s ‘Footballer of the Year,’ will move from Eintracht Frankfurt to Munich for the new season.
