The match in the Spanish football league between FC Barcelona and CA Osasuna has been postponed due to a sudden death. The Primera División leaders announced just before the scheduled kickoff at 21:00 that the game would be rescheduled. The reason for this decision was the death of team doctor Carles Miñarro Garcia on the evening of the match day.
Reports indicated that Barcelona’s president Joan Laporta entered the team’s locker room shortly before the match to inform the players and coaching staff of the news. At that time, Osasuna’s goalkeeper Sergio Herrera was already warming up on the field and was instructed to leave the pitch following the official announcement.
La Liga also confirmed the postponement of the match, expressing condolences over the passing of team doctor Miñarro. Consequently, the game will be rescheduled for a later date.
